Trailed Off

Well I definitely left a few things out yesterday.

I ended up buying a homeless lady this huge jug of alkaline water  from Walgreens. It was the same lady and her wheelchair relative by the bus stop. The jug was so big and heavy, some alkaline water for hydration. She was so tiny. Like half my size. I'm 5'4 by the way. Her wheelchair bound relative was even shorter. I felt bad for giving her something so heavy even if it was for her health.

That was my quick stop before I got on a bus to a nearby nature center.

It had rained the night before though. I probably should've factored that in before going on a trail.

Now since it was basically a forest, I already knew what to expect.

Earth.
Bugs.
Trees.

That was pretty much it.

Though it was a bit muddy, with only the fallen leaves saving me from a potential fatal mudslide into a creek.

Eventually after sliding onto some roots and holding onto a wall, I learned how to properly walk rather quick.

Heels only. Not the toes.

There wasn't much to look forward to out there.

No flowers. No bright colors.

It looked as dead as the buildings where I live.

Just greens and browns everywhere.

Still, it wasn't a bad walk.

If anything it was good for building strength, grounding yourself, and hiding away from the sun for a while. Then on the way back home, I got lost without realizing it and ended up home by accident yet somehow made it back on time.

The water looked the clearest at this point and inside the tunnel there were raccoon prints with seashells embedded into the rocks. At some point, the area starts to smell sweet due to the plants and the aroma of pine tends to linger.
