So I woke up yesterday as usual, almost missed the bus and had to do a short sprint right as it was seconds from passing me by.
Thank goodness I checked the metro app in time.
Then I rode the bus and arrived at work, expecting the day to go smoothly.
Then David came in. Apparently he’s in a new role now. He gave me a fist bump.
Then I saw Ms. Gabby.
Yeah… she doesn’t like me much.
I updated her on my tasks and she was ready for me to go almost immediately. She has a very quick temper. Sometimes I see her as unstable.
I’m glad I don’t have to find out.
So I left.
I debated getting a new bowl of ramen.
Apparently this one was for vegans and the broth had almond milk in it.
Yeah… that sounded bad.
But I really wanted to try something new.
I probably should have read the ingredient list first.
On the bus I overheard a crossing guard wearing a yellow bandana and blond dreads talking on the phone. I think she was talking about her niece.
A baby that doesn’t cry normally. She screeches and yells.
The woman sounded frustrated and said she sometimes struggles not to hit her because of it.
That part concerned me.
She kept reminding herself that the baby is still just a baby.
A few moments later she talked about how the child has an aversion to something because she had been force-fed it before.
Then the woman casually mentioned that she herself has an aversion to tomatoes.
She said eating tomatoes feels like it might kill her.
Apparently she once ate a burger with tomatoes and spit it out immediately like it was poison.
She can eat tomatoes though… only if she doesn’t know they’re there.
Then she said she’s very big on texture.
Eventually I arrived at the ramen location, grabbed my order, and went to the library to eat.
At a glance everything looked good.
Omg I was sooo wrong.
There was spinach in the bowl.
You see, this is where I draw the line.
Spinach never goes with ramen. Even if it’s not traditional ramen.
I can put up with the corn.
I can put up with the Atsuage tofu that tasted like a sponge.
But not the spinach.
Still, I ate it anyway with the add-ons.
The broth surprisingly tasted good. It had their signature flavor, even with the almond milk base.
I know the area is predominantly white, but good heavens.
What in the fuck was spinach doing in the ramen bowl?
I feel like the workers might have silently shunned me after seeing my order in the kitchen.
After eating it — or barely eating it — I felt rather pregnant.
Probably time for me to start working out again.
The full ajima egg was nice and creamy. A full egg hack
The chicken was good too.
But that damn spinach completely threw off the taste and texture.
Later on my laptop I got bored.
So I messed around on Discord using some random names and ended up making a new friend. I’ll call her Greenpage.
She doesn’t seem very interested in algorithms and admits she procrastinates when it comes to things that aren’t important.
Cool.
Earlier I also had an encounter on Moonbounce.
I met Prissy the Egyptian. He helped me make a few touch-ups on my About Me page.
A few people seemed to really like the idea of my blog.
Then I suddenly realized something.
Over 800 people have visited my blog.
How come nobody is commenting? Is everyone really that shy?
I made it so that anyone can comment with or without a blogger account.
Turns out Prissy actually left a comment on my Blog Purpose page.
And now I have a third follower.
Pretty cool day aside from the little Tiktok thing I had going on last night.
But at least i tried texting Muffy.
